Mermaid Nails and MASH-39

Purchased By Me | Affiliate Links

Happy Saturday!! :) Who's ready for the 50th Anniversary Special of Doctor Who tonight?! I know I am!! I just need to find a way to watch it since we don't have cable TV anymore :P

This post was supposed to have published earlier in the week, but I guess it didn't! :( So here it is!

I got the MASH stamping plates a couple of weeks ago and had to use MASH-39 immediately!! Fish scales! Mermaid scales! Dragon scales! Stamping decals!!

My base color is 3 coats of Julep Ciara. I added this on to my October Bombshell box.. It's beautiful! Julep Ciara is a "vampy magenta with teal microglitter." After 3 coats, it's a wine color that has teal microglitter that flashes pink in some lights. Sadly, I did not take a photo of it by itself! This was the first time in a long time that I was impressed with the selection from Julep (their customer service, not so much). Then I stamped with the scales image using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes. I didn't top coat after stamping because the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri smeared everything (and caused shrinkage on my tips!)! Fortunately, I only got as far as one finger and redid that one :)

I love this! I've kept it on until today, when it's coming off so I can do Doctor Who nails!

Did you get anything from the Julep October Maven selection? Have the MASH plates? Watching Doctor Who tonight?!  Let me know in the comments! Have a great weekend! :D

  1. Love the scales! Well I don't have anything from Julep, didn't even know that it existed before I found some lovely bloggers who use Julep polishes sometimes.

    1. Thank you :) The Julep polishes are hit and miss, and I think they're way behind on trends :(

  2. Hi, I love these nails! I came here from Will Paint Nails for Food from the feedback form. I like your blog, the writing is good, and the photos are really great. The only thing I would have to say is that the blog set-up is really wide and I have to scroll quite a bit (left to right) to see your whole blog. Cheers! :)

    1. Thank you!! I really appreciate the feedback! I'll fix the scrolling when I get home. It's hard to tell how wide the page is on both my desktop and laptop :)

  3. Hey Patricia I'm stopping in from Will Paint Nails for Food (and am now a follower). I like the layout of your blog, it looks like a blog should to me! Seems easy to navigate and easy to find things. I was going to say maybe make your pictures a little bit bigger but it seems you do that on most all of your other post, so that's not really relevant. I could see what behappyandbuypolish is saying about the scrolling thing. Don't you just love the MASH plates, I have that same collection.

    1. Thank you! :) I normally upload my photos and change them to large. I may have forgotten to on this post, I was in such a hurry to get it up :P I love the MASH plates! So many gorgeous designs! <3

  4. Hi there! I'm also coming here from WPNFF. I like the layout of your blog and think you have a really cute header. I like that you have many different follow options even if I had to search a little to find Feedly, my personal option!
I like your nails and your well kept cuticles as well as your nail art.
I don't care too much for press releases but understand why many bloggers publish them. What I would like to see is more pictures of your nail art. I would like maybe different angels to really appreciate the work you put in!

    1. Thank you! I added an RSS button to the rest of my social media icons and it links to my Feedly :) I hope that is easier than searching for the Feedly button. In regards to the press release, I only post the ones I get from Zoya since I do get press samples from them. I will definitely work on different angles when I photograph my nails. Someone it's rather difficult to get my pinky finger tucked in just right! :)

  5. Hello Patricia!
I came from the WPNFF Blogger's Camp. And (un?)fortunately, I don't see anything to critisize you for, I love everything about your blog: from clean design to great photos to awesome manis to stunning nails! Keep up with the good work! ;)

Oh, one suggestion I have is that perphaps you would consider joining Instagram? Would love to follow your nails account there!

    1. Thank you so much!! :D

Unfortunately, my phone is outdated by today's standards (I have a Nokia Lumia 900) and there is no official IG app for my phone :( All of the unofficial ones are cruddy. I do plan on getting a phone when it's time to renew that has an IG app, though :D
