Peacock Nails Using VL 006

Purchased By Me | Provided For Review

Hey all! I haven't really been online much lately. My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer in April/May and it quickly progressed to Stage IV. Sadly, he lost the fight and passed away early Monday morning :'( I haven't really wanted to do anything the past few days except stay in bed. It's a difficult thing to come to terms with, my dad being gone. He was always out in the garden, going fishing. Then to see what that ugly cancer did to him.. it just sucks :(

Last week, I got my tiny order from Vivid Lacquer, plate VL 006, which is just amazing! The etching is just right and the images stamped beautifully! <3 I immediately wanted to use the peacock feather print design.

I did a gradient using Zoya Giovanna* and Neve*, then stamped using Julie G Ornamental. After letting that dry, I used my dotting tool and Zoya Mason* in the "eye" part of the feathers. Waited a few minutes, then added top coat! Definitely getting a squishy stamper ASAP! :P

What do you think? I love peacock inspired nail art, and there are several types of peacocks with different coloring, so the ideas are endless :D

Mani looks great though. Why a squishy stamper?

    1. Thank you <3

Squishy stamper because it conforms to curved nails better :)

  4. I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your dad. My husband's aunt passed away from Lymphoma a couple years ago so we know all too well how cruel cancer can be.
Your stamping is amazing! I've never tried stamping but then I come across pretty manis like these and I want to go plate crazy! I love the gradient too, it most definitely looks just like a peacock feather!

    1. Thank you, Dani <3 It really sucks. My husband's dad passed away a couple of years ago from lung cancer, and that was hard. Never imagined having to go through it with my dad :(

Stamping is so fun! Just like with other nail art, the ideas and things you can do are endless :D
